Tip-Toeing Through Tulips

Last week we headed downtown to Temple Square. Around this time of year they have a ton of flowers (mostly Tulips) in bloom.

So, here are a ton of pictures of us!

We took tracks, mostly because it's fun for the kids and partly because with downtown being all crazy with buildings being torn down, we weren't sure about parking.

Mandy started the day off kinda tired.

She Did It!

A few posts back I mentioned how we were going to finally get Amanda potty trained. Well, for all intents and purposes, she is! She's still sleeping in a pullup as a "just in case" (we still let her sleep with a sippy cup).

She was so much easier than our other two. That probably had a lot to do with Paul being home and helping with it.

With our other 2 kids we had to use timers to remind them to go, for quite awhile. They were also deathly afraid of using the "big" potty chair. But not Amanda! No timers, no "little" potty chair...

SHE DID IT!

Yes in this picture she's on her little pot, but she hasn't used that in 2 weeks. It's just cute that she's reading the paper while she's going.

Miscellaneous-ness

Boy, yesterday was exciting! But enough about that. I decided it was time I do a post about what we've been up to lately. Nothing fancy or special, just our everyday lives with pictures!

First, we went to WICKED!!! Such an awesome show! The lady who played Glinda was hilarious! If you ever get a chance to see this show... DO!

Eden turned 5! I know I blogged about that, but here are a couple of pictures from around that time. She had a fairy party!








We went to the park to feed the ducks!
Instead we got surrounded by 40 seagulls and 2 geese.







We had a belated Easter party!
Every year for the past 3 years I've done a yarn maze. With 12 kids that gets interesting. Basically you have a thing of yarn for each kid and wrap each string all over the place either inside or outside, and have the yarn end with a goodie bag tied onto it. The kids love it. It takes about 2 hours of prep time and is done in about 20 minutes.













Janina brought a really cool craft for the kids to do!



Ashley got "Principal's Pride"! It's an award given for various things. Some get it for doing well in class, others get it for doing a great art project... Ashley got it for being a great friend to everyone! Ashley's teachers know that if a new kid moves into the class, they can sit that new kid right next to Ashley and she'll be instant friends with them! She really does love everyone!

Introducing our (close to) 800 pound BABY!!!

Well, for those of you who are in total suspense about this, I'll be nice and not wait till tomorrow to post pictures.

I have been having a blast today, totally playing ever since she came! She so beautiful!

Well, if not, here's the unveiling! And yes, my piano is a "she". I just haven't decided on a name yet.

She's a 5'4", almost 800 pound DREAM!
My very own BABY GRAND!
She has a really cool feature! You can hook your ipod up to her and she'll "play" the songs! The keys play by themselves, just like a player piano, only cooler!




Sorry for all the pictures. I told Paul I felt like I was taking pictures of a really nice car. "One picture all closed, one with it all opened up, one of the inside (or engine if it were a car)"... stuff like that.

Since Paul wasn't around to celebrate my "Dirty Thirty" (as Melanie would put it) birthday, him being up in Washington and all. He wanted to do something super big for my birthday, but totally missed it instead. So, this is what I'm getting for my birthday! It might be over 4 months late, but I don't care!
