Random Acts of Kindness

So today I was at Albertson's getting stir fry fixin's. An older gentleman got in line behind us with just 3 cans in his hands. So I asked him to go in front of us since we'd be taking longer to check out. He said "thanks" and went ahead, but at the same time grabbed 2 little boxes of animal cookies from the stand next to the check out line.

At first I thought. "Okay, this man likes animal cookies with his spaghetti sauce." He was too old to have little kids of his own. Then I thought maybe they were for his grand kids. But as the lady scanned them he said "Hand those two boxes of cookies to those two little girls in that cart." My girls were totally stoked! (Ashley was at school)

He bought he's stuff, my girls gave him big huge grins, said "thank you" and he left.



Makes me think that next time I'm at the store, if I see someone with kids, or maybe someone who isn't buying too much, I just might pay for them or get their kids a treat.

Newness

Life is still pretty boring here. But I thought I'd blog about our new living room set! There's not much to say about it. It's new, (first set of new couches I've had in that room) they're greenish, and they have this really cool... something.

When you sit on these couches, they are totally comfortable, but the cushions have something in them that doesn't allow them to "give" more than an inch, still really comfy though. Unlike our other couch, in the family room, that's already losing its shape from being sat on so much, these new couches will hold their shape for years!

I know, boring to you guys, but I'm excited about them!

BEFORE: These couches were mis-matched. We got one couch from someone in the ward and the other couch from my mom. They totally didn't match. Hence, the slipcovers (which did actually match, the lighting is just wonky).

Is Anybody Not Bored?

I know, I didn't post any pictures of Christmas. We had a lot going on and I forgot my camera for half of it. Heck, I'm not even putting up pictures of Paul's visit (sorry dear). I know, I'm way lame. Life has just been boring.

Since it's been so long since I've blogged, I thought I'd post a few pictures. I guess if by this time next week, if I haven't blogged about something interesting, then you might get more pictures. Oh well. My life is boring at the moment (still stressful, and boring).
